Tanya Ann Swartz, 39, of Orwell, OH, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at University Hospital Geauga, Chardon, OH.

She was born in Lancaster to Roxanne (Bingner) Swartz and the late John Swartz.

Tanya was a 1992 graduate of Ephrata High School and a graduate of Millersville University with a B. S. in Biology. She also received her Masters Degree in Human Services from Penn State York . She loved her career as a Therapeutic Support Staff and Mobile Therapist for special needs children. She loved to travel and in the recent past spent time in Germany and Alaska.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a maternal grandmother, Virginia R. Bingner; a sister, Crystal (Bingner) Glassburner; aunts and uncles, Sheridan Bingner, Dixie (Bingner) Kiehl, Jack Ewing, Rose Passaniti, Mike Passaniti; nephew, Sullivan Glassburner; cousins, Kyle Kiehl and Jessica Kiehl Stine.


A visitation will take place on Sunday, December 7, from 1:30 to 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, with Pastor Dana Statler officiating. Feel free to bring any memorabilia reflecting Tanya’s life to share at the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
