Obituary for Benjamin W. Auker

Benjamin W. Auker, 84, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Fairmount Homes.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Noah and Leah (Wenger) Auker and was the husband of the late Shirley (Simpson) Auker.

Benjamin was a member of Blainsport Mennonite Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy S. Auker of Lancaster, Jane S., wife of Robin Fritz of Denver, Fern S., wife of Raymond Stone of Farmersville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul, husband of Velma Auker of Terre Hill; four sisters, Elsie Martin of Farmersville, Lidia Limberg of Farmersville, Alice, wife of Harvey Brubacher of Ephrata and Edna, wife of Ernest Martin of Red Run.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Landis S. Auker and two brothers, Norman and Willis Auker.

A viewing will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017, from 6 to 8 pm at the Wheatridge Chapel, Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheatridge Dr., Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 9, from 10 to 11 am, at the Chapel, followed by his funeral service at 11 am, with Pastor Eric Marshall officiating. Interment will take place in the Metzler Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Benjamin's memory may be made to Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA, 17522.
