Obituary for Kathryn M. Seibel

Kathryn M. Seibel, 98, of Denver, formerly of Clay School Road, Ephrata, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Cocalico Christian Home.

Born in East Earl Twp. on August 7, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Martin) Zimmerman.

She was married in November 1937 to the late Warren I. Seibel, who passed away in 1982.

She was a member of Springville Mennonite Church.

Kathryn was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and doing puzzles.

Kathryn is survived by 7 children, Miriam, wife of Melvin Nolt of New Holland, Irvin, husband of Elva (Nolt) Seibel of Paradise, Clara, wife of James Lee Newswanger of Ephrata, David, husband of Mary Jane (Rutt) Seibel of Stevens, Warren, Jr., husband of Mabel (Sensenig) Seibel of Stevens, Kathryn, wife of Donald Groff of Lititz, Jason, husband of Karen (Habecker) of Ephrata; 33 grandchildren; 142 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Paul Zimmerman of Lititz.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, 1 great-grandson, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and 4 siblings, Edna Martin, Elmer Zimmerman, Clara Martin, D. Martin Zimmerman.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 5 to 8 PM at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Road, Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 8:45 AM at Midway Mennonite Reception Center, with further services at 9:30 AM from the Springville Mennonite Church, 580 Springville Rd., Ephrata , with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
