Doreen D. "Moosey" Weaver, 55, of Ephrata, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Conestoga View.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Franklin and Shirley A. (Brubaker) Weaver.

Doreen was a homemaker. She was a feisty lady who loved music, kids and cats, watching game shows and playing cards. She also loved Tigger, Mellencamp, Cowtails and the color purple.

Doreen is survived by 3 children, Danielle, wife of Jonathan McWilliams of Ephrata, Kory M. Evans of Ephrata, Angela Rivers of Ephrata; 7 grandchildren; 5 brothers, Frank, husband of Sandy Weaver of Stevens, Scott Weaver of New Holland, D. David, husband of Donna Weaver of FL, Stanley, husband of Lori Weaver of Denver, D. Daniel, husband of Lisa Weaver of Stevens; a sister, Fayetta, wife of Stephen Schwanger of Ephrata and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Shannon Weaver.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017, from 3 to 5 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron followed by funeral services at 5 PM with Pastor Nelson Sepi officiating. Those attending are asked to wear the color purple. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
