Dorothy M. Craven, 83, of Ephrata, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2017.

She was the wife of Gary L. Craven with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage on January 1, 2017.

Dorothy was the daughter of Edward and Marie Blackwell of Neptune City, NJ. She was born in Hugo, OK and moved to Bradley Beach, NJ in 1941 where she attended Asbury Park High School.

She was a member of Mohler Church of the Brethren.

Dorothy worked for Gibson Greeting Cards before retiring in 1996. She enjoyed traveling, photography and crocheting prayer shawls for Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital and blankets for the Lancaster Humane Society.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Nancy of Ephrata; her son, Wayne, husband of Terri of Thornhurst; a granddaughter, Marie and 2 great-grandchildren, Naomi and Nathan all of Lakewood, NJ; a step-grandson, Thomas Kosich of Toms River, NJ; a sister, JoAnn, wife of Richard Bridge of DE and many nieces and nephews,

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 10 to 11 AM at the Mohler Church of the Brethren, 21 E. Mohler Church Road, Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor Carl L Brubaker officiating. Interment will take place in the Mohler Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to Mohler Church of the Brethren, 21 E. Mohler Church Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
