Robert R. "Bob" Weitzel, 81, of Denver, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at home.

He was born in Schoeneck to the late Melvin and Elsie (Heck) Weitzel and was the husband of Martha E. (Capwell) Weitzel, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Bob was a well known car salesman and general manager for the Steffy Buick car dealership for over 60 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by 2 sons, R. Michael, husband of Susan (Jones) Weitzel of Schoeneck, and Randy D., husband of Wendy S. (Grimes) Weitzel of Reinholds; 4 grandchildren, Kyle D., Kevin S., Kelly, and Miranda L. Weitzel; and 2 brothers, Richard, husband of Sylvia (Smith) Weitzel of Brunnerville, and Rodney, husband of Darla (Steely) Weitzel of Reinholds.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Scott Weitzel, MD, and a granddaughter, Alexandra Weitzel.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
