Obituary for Allen B. Sensenig

Allen B. Sensenig, 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Lancaster County to the late Barton and Ada (Bichart) Sensenig and was the husband of the late Anna H. (Eberly) Sensenig who passed away in 2009.

He was a member of Akron United Zion Church.

Allen worked in sanitation for Victor Weaver and Tyson. In his early years, he was a house painter. After retirement he worked for Sunline Coach Company and later for Nolt's Auto parts. He enjoyed gardening.

Allen is survived by 2 daughters, Lucy A. wife of Merle E. Graver of Lancaster, Linda K., wife of Craig D. King of Ephrata; a granddaughter, Eugenea K. Graver and 3 brothers, Amos Sensenig of Manheim, Jacob Sensenig of Ephrata, Barton Sensenig of Myerstown.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Elsie, Florence and Ada Sensenig.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. Ninth Street, Akron. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 9 to 10 AM followed by funeral services at 10 AM at the Akron United Zion Church, 31 S. Tenth Street, Akron, with Pastor Kenneth Redcay officiating. Interment will take place in the Mellingers Union Cemetery.
