MiracleMeeting

in 1991 while a resident of Clearwater was attending a sporting event near Tampa. While in line for tickets noticed 2 guys in front of me ; one with a Carpenter Steel jacket and the other with a Penn State Hat. Being from the Reading area started to talk with them and learned they were Ike Gehman and his buddy "Chalky Kessler from Denver and York respectively. My great grandmothers maiden name was Gehman and she lived in Adamstown along side of the Bollman hat factory. While a teenager worked on a Huckster truck that went to Adamstown every Wednesday and there was this tough kid that came out to the truck with his sister on most occasions. After talking with Ike for a while learned that he was raised in Adamstown and actually lived a very short distance from my great grandparents. My wife and I have been fortunate to have been friends with the Gehmans ever since particularly since we moved back to Pa.(When Ike described where he lived;I,m nearly certain he was the tough kid I saw in the 1940,s)
