Obituary for Linda Kay Horton

Linda Kay  Horton
Linda Kay Horton, 82, of Ephrata, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born in Altoona to the late Millard F. and Iva I. (Jodon) Berkheimer and was the wife of Ronald E. Horton with whom she would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on October 15th.

She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Mount Joy.

Linda was a bookkeeper in the automotive industry for most of her life. She graduated from Maurey High School in Dandridge, TN. She was a founding member of the Berean Bible Fellowship Church in Ephrata. Linda enjoyed playing piano for the church and caring for her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by a daughter, Cynthia K., wife of the late Dale A. Bischoff; 4 grandsons, Jeremy D. (Tara), Jason S. (Aimee), Joel E. (Kristen) and Jared A. (Kaitlin) Bischoff; 6 great-grandchildren, Alexander, William, Carter, Parker, Miles, Eleanor and 6 siblings, Phyllis, wife of the late John Hart, Lois, wife of the late Marshall Ferguson, P. Joel, husband of Melissa Berkheimer, Elizabeth, wife of Willard Brundege, Susan, wife of the late Victor Hewitt, David, husband of Judi Berkheimer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Berkheimer and a sister, Deborah Berkheimer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at the St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 37 E. Main Street, Mt.Joy with Pastor Timothy Smith and Pastor Sean Rajnic officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
