Jane S. Schweitzer, 95, of Stevens, formerly of Adamstown, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Gardens at Stevens Nursing Home.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Paul and Margaret (Becker) Stirk and was the wife of the late John C. Schweitzer, who died in 2004.

She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, where she was a member of the choir for over 50 years. She was a charter member and past president of Adamstown Women's Club.

Jane had worked at Mom's Diner for 13 years, and was a cook at Adamstown Elementary School.

Jane is survived by a son, Phillip (Donna) Schweitzer of West Lawn; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 daughters-in-law, Dixie Schweitzer and Shirley Schweitzer.

She was preceded in death by husband, John C. Schweitzer, 2 sons, Randy and Jeff Schweitzer, 4 sisters, Mary Bowers, Francis Faust, Pauline Bowers, and Nancy Orth, and a brother, Isaac Stirk.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2017, at Peace United Church of Christ, 37 E. Swartzville Road, Denver, PA 17517, with Pastor William E. Hoch officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
