Dorothy Mae Bitting, 99, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born in Allentown to the late William and Goldie Mae (Miller) Snyder and was the wife of the late R. John Bitting.

She was a recent resident of Keystone Villa in Ephrata.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed keeping a spotless house and cooking for others. She was devoted to her family, particularly her granddaughters

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Jane, wife of Joseph Higdon of Ephrata; 3 granddaughters, Christina Fletcher, Colleen Greenberg, Caroline Higdon and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John David Bitting.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
