Obituary for Mabel F. Martin Martzall (Eshelman)

Mabel F. Martin  Martzall (Eshelman)
Mabel F. (Eshleman) Martin Martzall, 99, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Landis Homes. She is now at rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Elmer and Alice (Frey) Eshleman and was the wife of the late Nathan M. Martzall who passed away in 2005 and her first husband, Albert L. Martin who passed away in 1977.

She was a member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren.

Mabel worked at various local factories over the years before retiring from Linden Hall's housekeeping department.

Mabel is survived by 3 sons, Clair, husband of Carolyn (Oberholtzer) Martin of Lititz, Glenn, husband of Jean (Iverson) Martin of Lock Haven, Dale, husband of Mary Ann (Weaver) Martin of Lebanon; 2 daughters, Marian, wife of the late Clinton Smith of Wyomissing, Teresa, wife of Luke Zeiset of Akron; a step-son, Glenn, husband of Dorcas (Metzler) Martzall of New Holland; a step-daughter, Joyce, wife of the late Ralph Teplitz of New Holland; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren and 4 sisters, Laura Harmes of Lititz, Erla Hurst of Lititz, Elva Cochran of Wernersville, Naomi Baer of Marietta.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Gerald T. Martin and Gary Neil Martin; 3 brothers, Lloyd Eshleman, John Eshleman and Sam Eshleman; a sister, Alverta Hurst; a step-daughter, Doris Martzall and a grandson, Daryl Martin.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 10 to 11 AM at the Landis Homes, East Bethany Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Paul Brubaker officiating. Interment will take place in the Hess Mennonite Cemetery.

Mabel's family would like to thank the nursing staff at Landis Homes for their care for her over the past 13 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mabel Martzall may be made to Landis Homes Caring Fund, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA, 17543.
