Lester S. Martin, 79, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018, at Gardens at Stevens Nursing Home.

He was born in Earl Township to the late Phares W. and Margie Amelia (Stahl) Martin and was the husband of Gladys (Stauffer) Martin.

In addition to his wife, Lester is survived by 6 siblings, Erma S. Martin, Arlene S. Martin, Arthur S.Martin, Ernest S. Martin, Rachel S. Smoker, Mae S. Martin and several nieces and nephews, including Lamar Martin.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Nevin and Roy Martin and in-laws, Harvey F. and Maggie R. Stauffer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 1 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron. Interment will be private for the family in the Stauffer's Mennonite Cemetery.
