Mabel Jones Zechman, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Manor Care.

She was born in Martic Forge to the late Jacob and Clara (Groff) Aukamp and was the wife of the late Clifford D. Jones who passed away in 1987 and the late Harry Zechman who passed away 2008.

She was a member of Calvary Church, Lancaster.

Mabel was a garment worker various manufacturers including Dutchmaid in Ephrata and Terry Mfg. in Akron.

Mabel is survived by 2 daughters, Jean Ziegler of Lancaster, Shirley, wife of Frank Kosakoski of Lancaster; 2 grandsons, Michael, husband of Holly (Berry) Ziegler of Manheim, Derek Parent of Palmetto, FL; a great-granddaughter, Quinn Ziegler; 2 brothers, Charles Aukamp of Quarryville, Paul Aukamp of Lampeter; 3 sisters, Florence Hess of Washington Boro, Ruth Aukamp of Columbia and Rose Scheid of Lancaster.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Casey L. Jones; 4 siblings, Elsie, Josephine, Clara and Ernest Aukamp.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, 12:00 PM at the Pheasant Ridge Community Center, 209 Longwood Court West, Lancaster. Interment will be private in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
