Obituary for Minnie (Heister) Harding

Minnie (Heister)  Harding
Minnie (Heister) Harding, 96, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata.

Born in Reinholds on July 12, 1921, to the late Sally (Sweigart) Hassler.

She is survived by her children, Shirley A. Martin, Donald E. (Nancy), Richard L. (Antoinette), Ruth A. wife of Lynwood Hassler, and Rick L., 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph S. Harding, on June 16, 2009.

Minnie enjoyed playing golf with her husband. She also enjoyed crocheting and for a number of years she could be seen with her crafts at the Stevens Craft Show. She liked to spend time with her grandchildren coloring and playing cards.

Minnie was a former member of Swamp Lutheran Church, Reinholds, and Emmanuel Mennonite Church.

Besides her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her half-brothers, Edward S. Pierce and John R. Hassler, and half-sister, Sally Hassler Fasnacht.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522 or your favorite charity.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 am, Saturday, January 27, 2018, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 659 S. 4th Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Pastor Bradley Haws officiating. Interment will take place in St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery in Wernersville.
