Obituary for Lydia W. Nolt

Lydia W. (Hurst) Nolt, 84, of East Woodcorner Road, Lititz, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at home after a short illness.

She was the loving wife of Paul Z. Nolt to whom she was married for 64 years. She was born March 21, 1933 in East Earl township to the late Isaac Z. and Lizzie (Weaver) Hurst.

She was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference.

In addition to her husband, Lydia is survived by four sons, Carl H., husband of Karen (Sensenig) Nolt of Ephrata, Lamar H., husband of Lois (Hostetter) Nolt of Lititz, Nelson H., husband of Jane (Weaver) Nolt of Lititz, Gerald H., husband of Gloria (Martin) Nolt of Newport; one daughter, Earlene H., wife of Leroy Sauder of Lititz; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Phares W. Hurst and Amos W., husband of Martha (Sensenig) Hurst.

She was preceded in death by 2 daughters-in-law, Edna (Nolt) Nolt, Miriam (Huber) Nolt; one grandson, Roy Lester Nolt and nine siblings, Reuben W. Hurst, Katie W. Hurst, Annie, wife of the late Michael Nolt, Frances W. Hurst, Isaac W. Hurst, Aaron W. Hurst, Lizzie, wife of Titus Weaver, Edna, wife of the late Leon Martin and a stillborn brother

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 PM at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Road, Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 9 AM at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, with further services at 9:30 AM from the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, 200 Meadow Valley Rd., Ephrata, with Bishop Lester B. Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
