Alene (Shuff) Holland, 83, of Denver, passed away peacefully into the Lord's hands, surrounded by family, at Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

She was born in Altoona to the late Louis and Louise (Hill) Shuff and was the wife of Samuel D. Holland, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Alene was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Her hobbies and interests included, cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Alene is survived by 5 daughters, Tracy and Tom Porter, Marian and Bob Brandt, Karen and Hal Fried, Linda and Robin Beveridge, and Cheryl and Bob Lewis; 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver "Sonny" Shuff.

The family will receive friends and relatives between 6 and 7 pm, on Thursday, February 22nd, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Road, Denver. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm, with Pastor Keith Sweitzer officiating.

A private interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
