V. Marlene Forney, 81, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

She was the wife of the J. Lowell Forney for 63 years

She was an accounting officer for many years at the former Farmers First and Susquehanna Bancshares Bank. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading and generally staying busy around the house but being with and hosting her family brought her the greatest joy. She was also an avid Penn State football fan

Born in Ephrata, Marlene was the daughter of the late Raymond V. and Lizzie (Landis) Rudy.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Linda Christ married to Barry Christ of Ephrata, Jane Stoner married to Nelson Stoner of Lititz, Christine Reilly of Lititz and one son, Randall, husband of Kathy Jo (Kurtz) Forney of Lititz. Marlene had 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laretta Shiffer, Dorothy Forney.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11AM, at the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, 351 W Middle Creek Rd, Lititz, with a family visitation one hour prior, beginning at 10AM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
