Obituary for Earl E. Martin

Earl E.  Martin
Earl E. Martin, 91, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Fairmount Homes.

He was born in East Earl to the late Walter and Martha (Eby) Martin and was the husband of Elizabeth M. (Petersheim) Martin with whom he would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this May.

He was a member of Red Run Mennonite Church.

Earl was a dairy farmer. He loved to hunt and sing. He sang with various quartets including the Cheerful Anthems and the Hinkletown Male Chorus. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains at the Stony Brook Hunting Club in Lycoming County where he was a charter member.

In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by 2 daughters, Etta, wife of Homer Eberly of Ephrata, Kay, wife of Joe Good of Terre Hill; 3 siblings, Wilmer Martin, Sara Zeiset, Walter Martin; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Clarence Martin, Mary Martin and Paul Martin.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Red Run Mennonite Church, 987 Martin Church Road, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, at the church from 9 to 10 AM, followed by funeral services at 10 AM with Pastor J. Carl Sensenig officiating. Interment will take place in the Red Run Mennonite Cemetery.
