Obituary for Richard A. Jackson

Richard A. Jackson, 84, of Wyomissing, formerly of Ephrata and North Huntingdon, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the Reading Hospital.

He was born in Turtle Creek, PA to the late Carl and Frances Matilda (Breuhm) Jackson.

Richard had worked as a Mechanical Technician for Westinghouse Electric and most recently security at the St. Joseph Hospital, Reading. He served in the Air National Guard as a weatherman. Richard was an avid antique car enthusiast.

He is survived by a son, T. Scott, husband of Karen M. Jackson of Akron; a granddaughter, Jenny Jackson and a sister, Emily Gracia of IL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Thomas Jackson.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. 9th St., Akron, followed by his funeral service at 7 p.m., with Rev. Chris Leiby officiating. Interment will take place in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, Irwin, PA.
