Robert E. Fry, 73, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Maple Farm with his wife by his side.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Ruth C. Fry and was the husband of Patrice (Andrusisian) Fry with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.

He served four years in the US Navy aboard the USS Sampson.

Bob was a production planner for Case New Holland. He was a past member of the New Holland Jaycees, American Legion Cloister Post #662, Ephrata Amvets Post #136, and Cocalico Post #3376 V.F.W. He helped coach the OMPH Church 8th grade basketball team for 12 years. He enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and hunting and fishing at the Twin Springs Sportsman Hunting Camp in Mifflin County. Robert was an avid NASCAR fan and had visited almost every track in the US.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a sister-in-law Maryan Zook spouse of Frank; 2 nieces, Dr. Melissa Zook (Susan), Marcy Zerr (Steven) all of Berea, KY; a nephew, Peter Zook (Elizabeth) of Greensboro, NC; 7 great nieces and nephews: Sam, Nathaniel, Layken, Landen, Amelia, Adaline, and James, the joys of his life; and his beloved dog, Cassie. Also a close cousin, Raymond J. Fry and his daughter, Jennie, both of Lancaster.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Maple Farm for the kindness extended during his stay. Also heartfelt thanks to their neighbors and friends who stood by them through this difficult illness.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a celebration of Bob's life on Saturday May 6, 2017 from 2 to 5 PM at the Ephrata Amvets Post #136, 614 S. State Street, Ephrata. Please dress casual.
