Frankie Allen Reeves, 23, of Akron, lost his battle with addiction on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in West Allis, WI to Charity (Hamby) Reeves and the late Frankie Lee Reeves.
Frankie worked for Denver Cold Storage. He enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music, playing his games, being a goofball, and would never think twice to help someone out if they asked. Frankie struggled with addition for several years, and currently was trying his hardest to get the help that he needed for his mental health.
In addition to his mother Charity (Hamby) Breneman, Frankie is survived by a sister, Skyler Cheyanne Reeves; a step-father, John Breneman; his girlfriend of 8 years, Ashley Burkholder; his Aunt Deana Reider and husband, Art; his maternal grandfather, Grady Hamby and wife, Dena; his paternal grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Frankie was preceded in death by his father Frankie Lee Reeves and his much loved Nana Debbie Parker.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, from 3:00 to 3:30 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:30 PM with Pastor Jennifer Caummauf officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frankie's memory may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses, Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 92, Ephrata, PA 17522. Any extra proceeds will be donated to an Addiction/Mental Health Foundation.
