Obituary for Jerry Fasnacht

Jerry  Fasnacht
Jerry L. Fasnacht, 76, of Denver, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at home.

He was born in Lincoln to the late Arthur and Elsie (Yost) Fasnacht and was the husband of Freda L. Fasnacht with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

He was a member of Brickerville United Lutheran Church.

Jerry was a yard jockey for High Concrete, after retirement he worked part time for Zimmerman Auto Body. He served in the US Marine Corps. He was a past president of Schoeneck Area Lions Club, a life member of the Marine Corps League and a life member of Schoeneck Fire Company.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by 2 sons, Andrew A., husband of Judy Fasnacht of Gap, Michael A., husband of Stephanie Fasnacht of Schoeneck; a daughter, Deborah L., wife of Mark Kershner of Jersey Mills; 4 grandchildren, Devin, Emily and Molly Fasnacht, and Ryan Kershner; 2 step-grandchildren, James and Justin Moore; a brother, Elwood, husband of Alice Fasnacht of Denver and 2 sisters, Betty Alexander of Ephrata, Fern Steininger of Ephrata.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert F. Fasnacht and a sister, Goldie Gibble.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 10 to 11 AM at the Brickerville United Lutheran Church, 340 East 28th Division Highway, Lititz, followed a memorial service at 11 AM, at with Reverend Scott K. Davis officiating. Interment will take place at the Brickerville United Lutheran Memorial Garden with military honors accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to Schoeneck Fire Company, 125 North King Street, Denver, PA 17517 or Brickerville United Lutheran Church, 340 East 28th Division Highway, Lititz, PA, 17543.
