Helen E. Leed, 88, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Gardens at Stevens Nursing Home.

She was born in Denver to the late George and Nora (Ernst) Leed.

Helen was a 1947 graduate of Denver H.S., and had worked many years for the Ephrata Shoe Company. She was a good athlete and had enjoyed playing softball and basketball. She also enjoyed bowling.

Helen is survived by a niece, Donna Meckley of Denver, a nephew, Earl Leed, Jr. of Denver, a great-niece, Lori, wife of Jeffrey Wanner of Denver; and great-great-nephew and niece, Justin and Lindsey Wanner.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Leed, Sr., and a sister, Betty Strohl.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family, with interment at Fairview Cemetery.
